Hi, I'm Khai. I design spaces that thrive in the in-between programs, spaces, times, and people. This is where urban design really happens. The projects below are studies of these in-betweens. Explore how each operates across program, space, time, and people.

in-between programs

Shifts daily activities like eating, washing, and leisure into shared spaces near transit — reducing what needs to happen inside the home.

in-between spaces

Compact split-level homes are arranged around shared kitchens, gardens, and study rooms — creating distance without isolation.

in-between times

Public gardens and water research facilities share the same site — used differently across day and night.

in-between people

Reading rooms, workshops, and displays overlap — supporting both individual focus and group interaction.
